Prime Minister Modi's Meeting with Delegations

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held discussions with members of seven multinational delegations, who had traveled to over 30 countries to highlight India's firm stance against terrorism following Operation Sindoor. These meetings took place just a day after the NDA government marked its 11 years in power. Modi gathered feedback from the delegations, which aimed to shed light on Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in the wake of the Pahalgam massacre on April 22.

Modi shared on social media that he met with representatives from various countries and elaborated on India's commitment to peace and the urgent need to eliminate the threat of terrorism. He expressed pride in how these representatives have amplified India's voice. Over 50 members from different political parties, diplomats, and former parliamentarians were part of the seven delegations dispatched to 33 countries starting May 21, aiming to forge a united democratic front against the terrorist threats emanating from Pakistan.


 


Leadership of the Delegations




Among the seven delegations, four were led by MPs from the ruling NDA coalition, including representatives from JD(U) and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), while the remaining three were headed by opposition MPs. Leaders such as Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda from BJP, Shashi Tharoor from Congress, Sanjay Jha from JD(U), Shrikant Shinde from Shiv Sena, Kanimozhi from DMK, and Supriya Sule from NCP (SP) led these delegations to communicate India's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
