Litton Das Prepares for T20I Challenge

Litton Das is eager to break his batting slump in the upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. The T20I captain faced a setback after being dismissed for a duck in the first ODI of the recently concluded 50-over series, which Bangladesh lost 2-1.

He emphasized that he has consistently focused on improving his technical abilities. With the T20I matches on the horizon, he is determined to regain his form. The opening T20I is scheduled for Thursday, July 10, at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Litton's Reflections on Performance

“Every series and match holds significance for me. I strive to give my best in every game. However, there are times when I face failures, and my success rate has not been ideal. This is a part of life. Some players excel one year and struggle the next. It's crucial to understand the reasons behind this, and I aim to identify and overcome those challenges,”

The cricketer from Dinajpur is optimistic about rejoining the ODI squad soon. He has been keeping himself busy with training for the T20I series after being left out of the ODI lineup. Litton is keen to return to scoring runs, especially as he leads the Bangla Tigers.

“My performance in ODIs was not up to par, which is why I found myself on the bench. During the third ODI, I focused on preparing for the T20Is, and I plan to apply that preparation in the upcoming series. As a professional, adapting is essential, and I believe I do that effectively. I was given chances in ODIs but couldn't make the most of them. I hope to perform well in domestic cricket, score runs, and earn another call-up. I have been active in T20Is, and I am hopeful for a comeback,” he stated.

Litton and the Bangladesh team are determined to rebound strongly in the upcoming series, aiming to conclude their all-format tour on a positive note after facing defeats in both Tests and ODIs.
