Uorfi Javed Discusses Fallout with Apoorva Mukhija from The Traitors

Uorfi Javed Opens Up About Reality Show Conflict
Uorfi Javed has finally addressed the much-talked-about conflict with Apoorva Mukhija that unfolded during the reality series The Traitors. What began as a 'sister code' alliance quickly deteriorated into a public dispute.
In an honest chat with a media outlet, Uorfi responded to Apoorva's accusations, including the assertion that Uorfi made her feel like an outsider and would have acted differently if she were of higher status, like Maheep Kapoor. Uorfi retorted, stating, 'If Maheep had behaved poorly with me or confronted me, I would have told her to know her place. I wouldn’t have stayed silent. I’m quite impulsive. I tend to say things in anger. It’s not that I said all this based on her status.'
While Uorfi insists she harbors no ill feelings towards Apoorva, she made it clear that reconciliation is not on the horizon. She elaborated, 'I don’t think I’ll ever reach out to her. I know she won’t contact me either. There are countless people in the world. Why would she call me? There’s nothing to mend. Only relationships with a history can be repaired. We didn’t have a friendship background.'
Reflecting on their past interactions, Uorfi mentioned that they had met at the premiere of her show Follow Kar Lo Yaar and had shared friendly exchanges. However, tensions escalated during The Traitors after a confrontation where Uorfi admits she may have 'crossed the line' in response to what she perceived as Apoorva’s initial misbehavior. 'She was never my friend; I only knew her as an acquaintance. We had met before The Traitors. She attended the premiere of my show, and we spoke a few times. I always thought she was laid-back. But during the show, we didn’t click. Apoorva and I had a disagreement, and she started misbehaving with me. In response, I ended up saying things that may have crossed the line.'
In conclusion, Uorfi emphasized her decision to move forward, stating, 'Sometimes two individuals just don’t get along, and that’s perfectly fine. There’s no need for bitterness. It’s not like I have a significant rivalry with her. She’s much younger, and I’m older. What happened in the reality show is in the past. There’s no friendship, but there’s no animosity from my side either. I wish her all the best.'
Uorfi and Nikita Luther emerged victorious in The Traitors, successfully outsmarting the traitors and sharing the prize money of ₹70 lakhs. The top five contestants who reached the grand finale included Urfi, Nikita, Sudhanshu, Purav, and Harsh.
