PSG Dominates Real Madrid to Reach FIFA Club World Cup Final Against Chelsea
PSG's Impressive Semifinal Victory
New York [US], July 10: Paris Saint-Germain is gearing up to take on Chelsea in the FIFA Club World Cup final this Sunday after a stunning 4-0 semifinal triumph over Real Madrid in New Jersey.
The UEFA Champions League champions, PSG, established a commanding lead of 3-0 within the first 24 minutes, thanks to two goals from Fabian Ruiz and a strike from Ousmane Dembele, as reported by a sports news outlet.
The opening goal came in the sixth minute when Ruiz and Dembele combined effectively; Dembele intercepted the ball from Raul Asencio in the Madrid box, allowing Ruiz to finish from close range after testing Thibaut Courtois earlier.
Dembele quickly added a second goal just three minutes later, capitalizing on a mistake by Antonio Rudiger to score into the bottom corner without any opposition.
Under the guidance of Luis Enrique, PSG maintained total dominance in New Jersey, netting their third goal before the half-hour mark. Ruiz scored again after Achraf Hakimi set him up following a well-executed play.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had a chance to make it four but missed a good opportunity just before halftime.
In the second half, PSG eased off the pressure but still managed to keep Madrid at bay, concluding their performance with a well-placed finish from substitute Ramos, assisted by Bradley Barcola.
Earlier in the quarterfinals, PSG had outperformed Bayern Munich with a 2-0 scoreline, with Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele scoring in the 78th minute and stoppage time (90+6), respectively.
However, the match saw two PSG players receive red cards: Willian Pacho in the 82nd minute and Lucas Hernandez during stoppage time (90+2).
