ICC World Cup 2023: Suryakumar Yadav Should Retire From ODIs, Say Fans After World Cup Final Failure

Suryakumar Yadav got a chance to become an instant hero in the ongoing World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (November 19). He came out to bat in the 36th over when Team India was in a precarious situation and was scoring 178 for 5. With KL Rahul well set at the other end, the onus was on Suryakumar Yadav to score some quick runs. Innings much needed motivation.
However, the right-handed batsman failed to deliver when he was needed the most. While he stayed on till the 48th over, he could not help the team to gain momentum. He was eventually dismissed by Josh Hazlewood. The Mumbai star scored 18 off 28 balls and was the ninth Indian wicket to fall.
Thank you Sky. Never ever come back to play this format. 🙏

Fans slam Suryakumar Yadav:
Suryakumar Yadav was perhaps the only Indian player who did not play a special innings in the ongoing World Cup. Barring a combative 49-run innings against England, he didn't do much with the bat in the competition as he rarely got a chance to bat.
Surya left the brain back while coming to bat today 😭😭

He had a chance to prove his worth in the final. While fans were hoping that he would pull the team out of trouble, Suryakumar Yadav struggled throughout his innings and departed with just 18 runs. As he failed to perform well, it didn't take long for fans to get over their disappointment.
