Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 Set for Netflix Release After Box Office Success

Raid 2 Hits Theaters and Prepares for Digital Release

Ajay Devgn's much-anticipated sequel, Raid 2, debuted in cinemas on May 1, 2025. The film features Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, continuing the narrative of IRS officer Amay Patnaik. Deshmukh takes on the role of the villain, Dada Manohar Bhai, while Kapoor portrays Patnaik's spouse. The cast also includes notable actors such as Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak, and Amit Sial.

As per reports from various media sources, Raid 2 is slated for its digital launch on Netflix on June 27, 2025, although an official confirmation of the release date is still pending.

The sequel follows Amay Patnaik, an upright and courageous officer played by Devgn, as he targets a corrupt politician, Dada Bhai, portrayed by Deshmukh. Despite facing suspension and threats, Amay is determined to expose a significant black money scheme and ultimately gathers evidence against Dada Bhai.

In a surprising turn of events, Dada Bhai finds himself incarcerated alongside Tauji, a character from the original Raid, played by Saurabh Shukla. This twist has sparked speculation among fans about the possibility of a third installment in the franchise.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak.

The film achieved remarkable success, grossing Rs 165.1 crore within its opening week, surpassing competitors like Sikandar, Jaat, and Kesari 2. Following the triumph of Ajay Devgn's 'Singham Again,' Raid 2 marks the actor's eighth best performance, joining the Rs 200 crore club.

On the professional front, Devgn has several projects lined up, including Son of Sardaar 2, De De Pyaar De 2, and Drishyam 3, all set to release later this year or next. Recently, he wrapped up filming for Dhamaal 4, which is scheduled for a 2026 release.
