Seven rivers, including the Brahmaputra, are flowing above the danger mark, while the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Guwahati has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall in different parts of the state.

There is a likelihood of thunderstorms and lightning in Dhubri, South Salmara-Mankachar, Goalpara, and Kokrajhar, accompanied by strong winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kilometers per hour.

A report from the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) indicated that six more fatalities occurred in the districts of Hailakandi, Shrimani, Morigaon, Cachar, Sonitpur, and Tinsukia, with approximately 650,000 individuals affected by flooding across 21 districts.
