Rahul Gandhi's Strong Remarks in Madhya Pradesh
During his visit to Madhya Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, launched a fierce critique against the Modi government regarding the ceasefire. He remarked that a phone call from Trump led to Narendra Modi's immediate capitulation, stating that history reflects the character of the BJP-RSS, which is always inclined to yield. He emphasized that India had successfully dealt with Pakistan in 1971 despite threats from the United States. Gandhi asserted that the Congress party, represented by its 'lion and lionesses,' stands firm against challenges and never backs down.

In a sarcastic tone, the Congress leader pointed out that even a slight pressure on BJP-RSS members makes them flee in fear. He recounted how Trump instructed Modi to surrender, to which Modi complied without hesitation. He recalled the 1971 incident when the U.S. Seventh Fleet arrived, but Indira Gandhi stood her ground, stating she would act as necessary. Gandhi criticized the BJP-RSS for their tendency to submit, contrasting them with leaders like Gandhi, Nehru, and Patel, who were known for their resilience against superpowers.
Furthermore, Rahul discussed two models for caste-based census: one from Telangana and another from Bihar. He noted that in Bihar, officials prepared questions without consulting Dalits, Adivasis, OBCs, General Castes, or minorities. In contrast, Telangana's approach involved extensive engagement with the community, resulting in over 350,000 individuals contributing to the survey questions. This process revealed that there were no Dalits, Adivasis, or OBCs in significant corporate positions within the state.

Gandhi asserted that the Congress party is committed to fighting for social justice and will push for the passage of the caste census in the Lok Sabha. He mentioned that despite various statements from Modi, Mohan Bhagwat, and Nitin Gadkari, they ultimately succumbed to pressure. He accused the BJP-RSS of not wanting social justice, instead favoring a nation that serves the interests of industrialists like Adani and Ambani.
