Successful Prosthetic Limb Camp at Patanjali Yogpeeth

On July 26th and 27th, a two-day free prosthetic limb camp took place at Patanjali Yogpeeth, organized collaboratively by Patanjali Wellness and Uddhar Jefferies from Nagpur. The event aimed to empower individuals with disabilities, distributing prosthetic hands, feet, calipers, and crutches to over 250 individuals in need.

Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna actively participated in this initiative, personally handing out assistive devices to the beneficiaries. Their presence served to uplift the spirits of those receiving support and encouraged them towards self-sufficiency.

During the event, Swami Ramdev remarked, "These individuals are not disabled but are divine souls. They require empowerment rather than sympathy," emphasizing the core message of the initiative.

Acharya Balkrishna added, "Patanjali's mission extends beyond promoting Ayurveda; it aims to foster self-reliance among all citizens, which is our true national service."

The camp was supported by Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Uddhar Seva Samiti, along with skilled doctors, technicians, and dedicated volunteers from Patanjali Seva Vibhag. In addition to distributing equipment, the camp offered services such as measurement, fitting, physiotherapy, and consultations, ensuring comprehensive support for the beneficiaries.

Given the camp's success and the positive feedback from attendees, plans are underway to hold similar events every three to four months.

This initiative not only provided essential support to individuals with disabilities but also served as a source of inspiration and confidence. It stands as a testament to Patanjali Yogpeeth's unwavering dedication to humanitarian efforts and nation-building.

The contributions of Swami Videhdev, Swami Punya Dev, sister Pooja, and the Uddhar management team were particularly commendable. Numerous dedicated volunteers, including Sanjay, Ruchika Agarwal, Shruti, Pradhuman, Ravi, Divyanshu, Krishna, Niharika, Divya, and Deendayal, played vital roles in ensuring the camp's success.

This service initiative exemplifies compassion, collaboration, and selfless dedication, paving the way for positive societal change.
