The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also announced that pre-monsoon showers are expected in Northeast India over the next five days, with particularly heavy rainfall anticipated in Meghalaya on June 18th and 19th. The Weather Department has indicated that India is likely to experience above-average rainfall during the latter part of June.
