RCB Welcomes Tim Seifert
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has announced the temporary inclusion of New Zealand's explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert in place of England's young player Jacob Bethell. Bethell is set to return home after the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad to fulfill his national duties with the England team.
In an official statement, RCB confirmed that Tim Seifert would be stepping in for Jacob Bethell, who will depart for international commitments following the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The 30-year-old Seifert is a seasoned player, having participated in 66 T20 internationals for New Zealand, where he has amassed 1540 runs. His aggressive batting style and wicketkeeping skills make him a valuable asset. Previously, he played in the Indian Premier League for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2021 and for Delhi Capitals in 2022. Seifert will join RCB for a fee of 2 crore rupees and will be part of the team starting May 24.
