PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, recently discussed her achievements at a convocation ceremony for graduates at FLAME University in Pune, Maharashtra. She emphasized that while the world admires her medals, the unseen struggles behind those victories are significant.


During her address, Sindhu encapsulated her arduous journey to Olympic success, stating, "People see the medal, but they overlook the early morning alarms, the tears, the defeats, and the days when motivation is lacking. Competing at the Olympics means battling not just for a medal but for every unseen struggle that led to that moment."


Overcoming Failure: A Champion's Perspective

Sindhu also shared her thoughts on how athletes cope with setbacks, saying, "In sports, there are times when you show up even when you're broken. That’s where true champions are forged."


She encouraged aspiring achievers to embrace failure, asserting that to achieve greatness, one must be willing to fail repeatedly, sometimes in public and even humorously.

Looking ahead, Sindhu is set to compete in the Malaysia Masters tournament, which begins on Tuesday at the Stadium Axiata Arena KL Sports City in Bukit Jalil.
