Jyotiraditya Scindia Unveils Book on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Legacy

Today, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister for Communications and Development of the Northeast Region, attended a book launch event at the Keshav Kunj office of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Delhi. The book titled "Hindavi Swaraj ke Sansthapak Chhatrapati Shivaji" focuses on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and has been edited by Prof. Omprakash Singh and Dr. Devendra Bhardwaj. During his address, Scindia remarked that while some individuals remain entangled in the pages of history, others, like Shivaji Maharaj, create history. He recounted how a 14-year-old Shivaji vowed before Lord Shiva to establish a state that would include the participation of the poor, laborers, farmers, and all sections of society. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj demonstrated how to strengthen his kingdom based on the principles of Swaraj. He fought for the common people and farmers, successfully defeating the invading Mughals. Scindia emphasized that this book aims to dismantle the false narratives constructed against Shivaji Maharaj.

Scindia stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Panch Pran' initiative, which aims to propel the nation towards development and self-reliance, draws inspiration from the Hindavi Swaraj of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He noted that through operations like 'Operation Sindoor', the country is responding to challenges with strength.

In his speech, Scindia mentioned that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has integrated the ideology of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj into its core principles. The organization operates based on these very ideals and philosophies.

Discussing the relationship between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the Scindia family, Scindia noted that the family's history began with Shivaji Maharaj's Mavale. He highlighted that if anyone fulfilled the dream of Hindavi Swaraj envisioned by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, it was the great warrior Patilbua Mahadji Shinde of the Scindia dynasty.
