Significant Drug Seizure in Nagaur District

In a major operation, law enforcement in Nagaur district, Rajasthan, has confiscated 1441 kilograms of illegal opium, valued at approximately ₹2.16 crore in the international market. This information was disclosed by the police on Monday.


According to police reports, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) acted on a tip-off and conducted a raid in a field within the Panchodi police jurisdiction. Authorities received intelligence that Shrawan Ram Vishnoi from Bhed village was hiding illegal opium in his field, prompting the police team from Panchodi to execute the raid.


During the operation, officers recovered 1441 kilograms of opium packed in 50 sacks and arrested the suspect, Shrawan Ram, on the spot. During interrogation, Shrawan revealed that the opium had been sent three days prior by Dinesh Vishnoi from Bhawad village in the Jodhpur district and that he was supposed to deliver it to Akha Ram Jat in Tankla village.


The police are now on the lookout for Dinesh, Akha Ram, and other individuals involved in this trafficking network. This operation was carried out under the directives of Dinesh M.N., Additional Director General of the AGTF, following the receipt of confidential information regarding wanted criminals, gangsters, and organized crime groups.
