Amit Shah Distributes Appointment Letters to New Police Recruits in Lucknow

A Historic Recruitment Event in Uttar Pradesh
Today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended a grand ceremony at the Defense Expo Ground in Lucknow, where he handed out appointment letters to 60,244 newly selected police recruits in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present at the event. This recruitment drive marks the largest single police recruitment initiative in the state's history, comprising 48,196 men and 12,048 women.
During his address, Shah remarked on the security situation during the Congress regime, stating that terrorist attacks were a daily occurrence. He contrasted this with the current administration under Prime Minister Modi, highlighting three attempts by Pakistan to attack India.
Strengthening National Security
Shah emphasized the government's decisive actions against terrorism, mentioning surgical strikes following the Uri attack and airstrikes after the Pulwama incident, which targeted terrorist headquarters. He conveyed a strong message that India will not tolerate bloodshed and that those who dare to challenge this will face consequences.
He also noted the implementation of women's reservation in Uttar Pradesh, stating that the recruits are entering the police force during what PM Modi refers to as 'Amrit Kaal.'
A New Era for Uttar Pradesh Police
Shah expressed that today is a significant day for the youth present, as over 60,000 individuals from various backgrounds are set to become active members of the largest police force in India. He acknowledged the deteriorating law and order situation prior to 2017 but praised the improvements since the BJP government took office and Yogi Adityanath became Chief Minister.
He criticized the opposition for past recruitment practices based on caste, highlighting that the current process is transparent due to technological advancements. With the introduction of CCTV cameras, control rooms, command centers, and over 150 forensic science laboratories, he urged the recruits to uphold the principles of security, service, and sensitivity.
Future of Justice in India
Shah concluded by discussing the Indian Penal Code, the Indian Evidence Act, and the Civil Security Act, assuring that within five years, citizens will receive justice within three years of filing an FIR, reaching the Supreme Court.
