On Tuesday, a confrontation erupted between terrorists and a combined unit of security forces in the Shukroo Keller region of Shopian, located in South Kashmir. Reports indicate that 2 to 3 terrorists are believed to be cornered in the vicinity. A senior police official confirmed that gunfire was detected in the Keller forest area. Following reports of terrorist movement, the security forces established a cordon and initiated search operations.

Notably, red streaks were observed and explosions were reported as India's air defense intercepted Pakistani drones during a blackout in Samba on Monday. Military sources confirmed that a limited number of drones had entered the Samba sector and were being targeted.

In a related development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Monday regarding 'Operation Sindoor', which was initiated by India on May 7. He stated, 'When Indian missiles and drones struck those locations in Pakistan, it was not merely the structures of terrorist organizations that were affected, but their morale was also shaken. Terrorist hubs like Bahawalpur and Muridke serve as breeding grounds for global terrorism. Major terrorist incidents worldwide, including 9/11 and significant attacks in India, are linked to these sites.'
