BTS Reunion Approaches as Members Near Military Discharge

Exciting Times Ahead for BTS Fans
The highly anticipated reunion of BTS is just around the corner. With RM, V, Jungkook, and Jimin set to complete their military service shortly, BIGHIT MUSIC released an official statement on June 5, outlining what fans can expect upon their return.
Rather than being discharged directly from their military bases, the members will have private gatherings at various locations to briefly connect with staff and close acquaintances. These intimate meetings are exclusive to a select few, allowing the members to reflect on their military experiences and hint at future plans. The agency emphasized that these will not be public events.
RM and V, who enlisted in December 2023 but served in different units, will be discharged in Chuncheon. Meanwhile, Jimin and Jungkook, who served together, will complete their service in Yeoncheon.
BIGHIT clarified, “Instead of at their respective bases, they will share brief messages and their thoughts on discharge at designated locations.” The agency added, “No official ceremonies are planned at the bases, and the infrastructure cannot accommodate large crowds. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
While excitement is building, BIGHIT and HYBE have not yet revealed any immediate plans for a large-scale reunion similar to Jin's return. The group's comeback is likely to be strategically planned in phases. Given that all members completed their solo projects prior to military service, a full group reunion may not occur immediately. There are speculations about Jungkook embarking on a world tour, but nothing has been confirmed.
J-Hope announced that he will perform at the BTS Festa 2025 celebrations on June 13 and 14 at Goyang Stadium. He engaged with BTS ARMY on Weverse, stating, “Most members will be discharged by then. I believe this year’s FESTA will hold significant meaning. It marks our debut day, and I expect to feel emotional. After extensive discussions, we decided to celebrate with many ARMYs. This FESTA will truly feature Bangtan. It’s a major concert and holds great importance for me. I’m preparing a lot for it, as it is the final event!”
Reflecting on reuniting with the other members, he expressed, “It will be hard to believe since so much time has passed. Our last activities were in 2022, so by the time we reunite, three or four years will have gone by. Fans seem to be eagerly awaiting our return. I’m curious about the energy when we come together again. What will be different is that we will each have gained solo experiences before reuniting as a group. I’m looking forward to it.”
Jin and J-Hope have already completed their military service, while SUGA, who is serving in the public sector due to a shoulder injury, is expected to finish his duty on June 21, marking the first time all seven members will be together since 2022.
