Produced by BBC Studios India Productions, The Traitors India will showcase 20 celebrities from various fields engaging in a psychological game filled with trust and betrayal.
Karan Johar shared a teaser for the show on Instagram, hinting at the diverse personalities involved. He described contestants as rebels, drama enthusiasts, and individuals with intriguing pasts, adding a playful tone to the promotion.
In his post, he emphasized the theme of deception, stating, "Here, trust is scarce, but betrayal is abundant! #TheTraitorsOnPrime, a new reality series launching on June 12 exclusively on @primevideoin."

In the teaser, Karan hinted at the personalities of the contestants without revealing their identities. He described them as a "rebel who’s still a kid at heart," someone who is "big on drama," and another who is "fast only by name." Speculation suggests that Apoorva Mukhija, Uorfi Javed, and Raftaar may be among the participants, with Munawar Faruqui also likely to join.
Other names being discussed include Jasmin Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Anshula Kapoor, and Sudhanshu Pandey, although an official cast announcement has yet to be made.
