Odisha CM Urges New Recruits to Avoid Corruption Like Poison
A Strong Message Against Corruption
Bhubaneswar: On Tuesday, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized the importance of integrity among government employees, equating corruption to 'poison' that could endanger both their careers and personal lives.
While distributing appointment letters to new government recruits at the 12th 'Nijukti Mela' and orientation event at Kalinga Stadium, CM Majhi urged the attendees to steer clear of corrupt practices.
"Consider corruption as a toxic substance and maintain a safe distance from it. It poses a significant threat to your future and professional journey," he warned.
During this event, a total of 7,293 individuals received appointment letters across 12 government departments.
Majhi highlighted that in the past 17 months, the government has successfully provided jobs to 37,325 individuals, fulfilling their commitment to youth employment. The goal is to create 65,000 public sector jobs within the next two years.
Among the new hires, the home department saw the highest recruitment, with 2,365 individuals appointed as constables (1,979) and drivers (386).
