How to Play NYT Connections

In NYT Connections, players receive a grid filled with words and must identify the hidden connections among them. Consider synonyms, antonyms, and related word families to solve the puzzle. If you encounter difficulties, hints are available within the game. You can also track your daily progress and challenge friends to see who can solve the most puzzles.

A new puzzle is released daily at midnight, accessible via the NYT website or app. Your task is to organize 16 words into four groups of four based on their connections. Groups may include clickable items, names of study participants, or words associated with body parts.

Each group is color-coded, with yellow typically being the easiest, while purple often presents the most challenging wordplay. Select four words you believe belong together and click ‘Submit’. Incorrect guesses will cost you a life, but you may receive hints indicating you're close to the correct grouping. If you make four mistakes, the game ends.
