RCB Welcomes Back Tim David and Key Players as IPL 2025 Resumes

IPL 2025 Set to Resume with RCB's Key Player Returns
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to kick off again on May 17. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has received a significant boost with the return of explosive batsman Tim David. He will join forces with Romario Shepherd, Jacob Bethell, Liam Livingstone, and Phil Salt, all aiming to help RCB secure their first IPL title.
Due to the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, several international players had to return home, including Tim David and other RCB members who were in Lucknow for a match against the Lucknow Super Giants last Friday. David has been a crucial asset for RCB this season, consistently contributing vital runs in the middle order.
Tim David's Impressive Stats in IPL 2025
In the current season, David has played 11 matches, scoring a total of 186 runs, including a standout performance of 50 not out. His batting average stands at an impressive 93, with a strike rate of 194. Notably, his upcoming match will mark his 50th appearance in the IPL.
Romario Shepherd and Team Depth
RCB is also excited to have Romario Shepherd and Liam Livingstone back, enhancing the team's overall strength. However, there are concerns regarding the fitness of pace bowlers Josh Hazlewood and Lungi Ngidi. Hazlewood is currently recovering from a shoulder injury, while Ngidi's participation in the playoffs remains uncertain due to his commitment to South Africa's squad for the World Test Championship final.
Hazlewood's Stellar Performance This Season
Hazlewood has had a remarkable season, taking 18 wickets so far. His absence could significantly impact RCB's chances of clinching their first IPL championship.
RCB's next match will be against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), a crucial game for both teams. A victory for KKR would be essential for their hopes of qualifying, while RCB aims to maintain their momentum.
