Legal Action Against Corbin Bosch

Lahore [Pakistan], March 17: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken legal action against South African fast bowler Corbin Bosch for allegedly violating his contractual obligations.


The 30-year-old was selected by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Player Draft held on January 13 in Lahore. The PCB has sent a legal notice through Bosch's agent, requesting an explanation for his withdrawal from his professional commitments.


The PCB has also detailed the potential consequences of his exit from the league and is awaiting his response within a specified timeframe. The board has stated that no further comments will be made regarding this issue.


Earlier this month, Bosch was announced as a replacement for the injured Lizaad Williams for the upcoming IPL 2025 season.


According to the IPL, "Lizaad Williams will miss the upcoming IPL 2025 due to injury, and Mumbai Indians have signed Corbin Bosch as his replacement."


Bosch has yet to make his IPL debut, having previously been a reserve player for Rajasthan Royals in 2022, stepping in for Nathan Coulter-Nile.


He is familiar with the Mumbai Indians franchise, having played for their title-winning SA20 team, MI Cape Town, earlier this year.


During MI Cape Town's successful campaign, Bosch took 11 wickets in seven matches, maintaining an economy rate of 8.68. He will reunite with his national teammate Ryan Rickelton at Mumbai Indians.


In total, Bosch has participated in 86 T20 matches, claiming 59 wickets at an economy rate of 8.38 and scoring 663 runs with a strike rate of 113.33.
