Chamba: A significant milestone for adventure tourism was achieved today with a successful paragliding trial in the stunning Pangi Valley of Himachal Pradesh. This event, supported by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS) in Manali, represents a crucial step towards establishing the area as a center for adventure sports.
The trial was spearheaded by Rohit Sharma, Joint Director of ABVIMAS, alongside Pangi’s Residential Commissioner Raman Gharsangi and Tehsildar Shanta Kumar. The inaugural flight was piloted by Inder Singh from ABVIMAS, followed by skilled pilots from Dalhousie and Chamba, who showcased their expertise during the event.
This trial signifies not only a technical achievement but also highlights the vast potential of the valley. With its rugged landscape and untouched natural beauty, Pangi is perfectly suited for paragliding and other adventure activities.
