Fatal Accident in West Medinipur
On Saturday, a tragic accident occurred in Belda, located in the West Medinipur district of West Bengal, resulting in the deaths of four individuals traveling in an SUV. This information was confirmed by a police official.
According to Ripon Boul, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Belda, the incident took place at approximately 6:30 AM on a section of National Highway 16. He explained that the driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle while heading towards Odisha, veering into the opposite lane where it collided head-on with a truck.
All four passengers in the SUV were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Boul noted that the victims hailed from the West Bardhaman district of West Bengal.
