The suspension lasted for seven days due to the ongoing border tensions. Shrine board representatives have reported a surge in the number of pilgrims and confirmed that the battery-operated car service is also operational. Since the beginning of the year, more than 3 million devotees have visited the shrine, with expectations for further increases.
Additionally, operations at 32 airports, including those located in border regions of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, resumed on May 12 after being temporarily closed due to the military conflict escalation with Pakistan.
