Tragic Fire Incident in Sel Village

In the early hours of Sunday, chaos unfolded in Sel village, located in the Nainikhad Panchayat, when two cowsheds owned by daily wage workers, Kalu Ram and Gyan Chand, were engulfed in flames around 5 AM. Villagers were taken aback as they witnessed thick smoke and fierce flames rising from the structures.

Despite the quick response from local residents, the fire spread swiftly, completely destroying both cowsheds in a matter of minutes. Thankfully, the families had let their cattle out to graze shortly before the fire broke out, which spared them from losing any livestock. However, the blaze obliterated stored fodder and vital supplies, adding to the families' distress.

Panchayat Pradhan Kamlesh Rana arrived at the scene upon hearing the news, assessed the situation, and immediately contacted the local revenue officer to initiate necessary actions. Authorities have provided an immediate relief of ₹5,000 to each affected family.

The cause of the fire remains a mystery, leaving the villagers puzzled as to how two separate cowsheds could ignite at the same time. An investigation is anticipated to uncover the potential reasons behind this unfortunate event.
