Bhubaneswar: On Friday, police apprehended three individuals in Bhubaneswar for their involvement in a violent attack on an engineering student using swords.


The assault occurred late on May 20, targeting Rudra Narayan Patra, a second-year B. Tech student, in an open area close to the Mancheswar industrial estate, according to police reports.


Authorities believe that a longstanding feud may have motivated the attack.


The injured student was initially taken to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar and later transferred to AIIMS, where his condition is currently described as critical, as stated by a police official.
