Mumbai Police Uncovers Major Prostitution Ring
Mumbai Police Take Action Against Prostitution
The Mumbai police have successfully dismantled a significant prostitution ring. Numerous incidents related to sex trafficking have been reported in the city for some time. In response, the police have intensified their efforts to eradicate these operations. Following a tip-off, authorities executed a strategic plan that led to the arrest of a woman linked to the ring.
In a recent operation, police raided a restaurant located in the western suburbs and apprehended a woman accused of running the prostitution network. During this raid, three women, including a minor, were rescued, as confirmed by an official on Friday.
According to the officer, the crime branch received confidential information, which prompted a late-night raid on Thursday at a restaurant situated on Chincholi Bunder Road in Malad (West). They reported that the police set a trap using a decoy customer to catch the accused woman red-handed, successfully rescuing a minor and two other women from the scene. The arrested woman now faces charges under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, and the investigation is ongoing.
