Incident at Patna's New Flyover

A peculiar video has surfaced online shortly after the inauguration of Bihar's first double-decker flyover. The footage shows a group of young children attempting to steal nuts and bolts from the recently constructed bridge in Patna. In the viral clip, four to five children can be seen unscrewing parts of the newly opened structure.

Captured by a bystander, the video reveals the children caught in the act during daylight hours. They fled the scene when the man confronted them, exclaiming, 'Tum log chori karna chalu kar diya?' which translates to 'Have you all started stealing?' The video clearly illustrates their actions of tampering with the bridge.

Public Outrage

The video has sparked significant reactions from social media users. One commenter insisted on strict consequences for the children, stating, 'Don't spare the children. Give some strict punishment.' Another user remarked, 'Really? Anyone can open it? Wow... well thought and built then.'

The user who shared the video on X suggested that the children might be of Bangladeshi descent. However, there have been no official comments from local authorities or law enforcement regarding this incident.

The double-decker flyover, inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, cost ₹422 crores and aims to alleviate traffic congestion along the Ashok Rajpath corridor, connecting key locations such as NIT, PMCH, and Patna University, as reported by a local media outlet.
