Concerns Over Educational Resources

Bharmour: Dr. Janak Raj, the BJP representative for Bharmour in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district, has expressed significant concerns regarding the outdated maps of India being utilized in various schools within his area. The first-time legislator pointed out that these maps fail to depict the national capital, New Delhi, and do not include several newly established states, highlighting a serious deficiency in essential educational materials.

Dr. Janak Raj formally addressed this issue to the Chamba Deputy Commissioner via an official email, emphasizing the inaccuracies and poor condition of the maps currently employed for geography lessons in local educational institutions.

In his statement, the MLA conveyed his disappointment, stating, “This clearly reflects the level of education in my constituency. If students are unaware of their own country’s capital, how can we expect them to grow and learn meaningfully?”

He has called on the district administration to promptly take action to replace these outdated maps with accurate and current versions, ensuring that students have access to the proper educational resources.
