Shooting Incident in Shivkuti Area

On Thursday, a man shot his uncle during a land dispute in the Shivkuti police station area of Prayagraj. Authorities confirmed that the suspect has been apprehended.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Manish Shandilya, reports of gunfire were received on Thursday evening. Upon arrival, the police discovered that Om Shiv Pandey had fired at his uncle, Vijay Pandey, hitting him with three bullets.

Vijay Pandey was rushed to Swaroop Rani Nehru (SRN) Hospital, where he is reported to be out of danger. Investigations revealed a long-standing family property dispute between the shooter and the victim, both of whom are practicing lawyers. Shandilya stated that Om Shiv Pandey has been taken into custody, and his licensed revolver has been confiscated. Legal proceedings are underway.
