Method to Prepare Santara and Bhang Ki Kheer

  1. Peel and deseed the oranges, then put them in a blender. Add 2 cups of milk and blend until smooth.

  2. In a separate pan, heat 1 liter of milk. Once the milk starts boiling, add saffron.

  3. Now, add the blended mixture of oranges and milk to the boiling milk. Stir continuously.

  4. Let it simmer on low heat, then add sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well until everything blends perfectly.

  5. Allow it to cook for 15-20 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.

  6. Once done, add a handful of finely chopped dry fruits and mix well.

  7. To enhance its taste, add a little milk masala.

  8. If you want to add Bhang, add a small amount of ground Bhang leaves and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Important Tips

  • Due to the addition of Bhang, take only half a teaspoon as a prasad. If you prefer to make Kheer without Bhang, follow the same recipe for Santara Ki Kheer.
  • For a cooler experience, refrigerate the Kheer for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Enhance the Taste Further

To make this Kheer even tastier, you can also add rabri while preparing it. Adjust the sugar quantity according to your taste preferences. You can also add milk powder to enrich its flavor.
