Bangladesh's Upcoming Tour of Sri Lanka

Bangladesh is gearing up for a visit to Sri Lanka in June and July, marking their first trip to the island nation in four years. This tour will feature a multi-format series comprising two Tests, three One Day Internationals (ODIs), and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), as reported on the ICC's official website.


The Test matches will initiate the new World Test Championship cycle for both teams. The first Test is scheduled to take place in Galle, followed by the second Test in Colombo during June.


Following the Tests, the ODI series will commence on July 2, with matches set for July 5 and 8. The initial two ODIs will occur in Colombo, while the final match will be hosted at Pallekele.


Additionally, the T20I series will unfold on July 10, 13, and 16, taking place in Pallekele, Dambulla, and Colombo, respectively.


Recently, Bangladesh appointed Litton Das as the captain for their T20I squad.


The last encounter between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka resulted in a 1-0 Test series defeat for Bangladesh, with the first Test ending in a draw and Sri Lanka winning the second Test by 209 runs.


Before heading to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh will engage in T20I matches in Asia, starting with a two-match T20I series in the UAE, followed by a five-match T20I series in Pakistan.


In their most recent outing, Bangladesh faced Zimbabwe at home, where they drew the Test series 1-1, highlighted by impressive performances from Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who achieved three five-wicket hauls across two matches.


Sri Lanka's last international series was against Australia at home, where they lost the two-match Test series but secured a 2-0 victory in the ODIs against the World Cup champions.
