Exciting Armwrestling Championships Coming to India

New Delhi is set to welcome the 23rd Asian Armwrestling Championship and the 22nd Asian Para-Armwrestling Championship from May 6 to 10, organized by Pro Panja League in partnership with the People's Armwrestling Federation of India.


This prestigious tournament will showcase elite athletes from fourteen nations, including India, Iran, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the United Arab Emirates, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, and Jordan.


Adding to the event's excitement, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We extend a warm welcome to all athletes visiting India. We wish them the best and hope they create unforgettable memories during their time here.”


Devendra Jhajharia, President of the Paralympic Committee of India, emphasized the significance of inclusivity at the event: “This is a proud moment for our country. Armwrestling is gaining immense popularity worldwide, and I am particularly thrilled to see para-athletes participating, as they are champions in their own right.”


Assen Hadjitodorov, President of the World Arm Wrestling Federation, conveyed his best wishes to all competitors: “May the strongest prevail, and let this event be a celebration of hard work and commitment.”


Preeti Jhangiani, President of the People's Arm Wrestling Federation of India and Vice President of the Asian Armwrestling Federation, warmly welcomed the athletes: “Armwrestling is a challenging sport, and I truly respect the dedication these athletes have shown.
