The Intercontinental Legends Championship (ILC) is scheduled to take place on June 5, 2025, at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This highly anticipated event will feature cricket legends from around the globe.
Among the notable participants are star batsman Shikhar Dhawan and former Indian bowler Praveen Kumar, who will represent the Indian Warriors. The tournament will showcase six teams, each representing a different continent, as confirmed by the ILC press release.
The competing teams include the African Lions, Trans Titans (comprising players from Australia and New Zealand), Euro Gladiators, American Strikers, and Asian Avengers, highlighting the global nature of this championship.
The tournament is set to kick off on May 27, culminating in the final match on June 5 at the same venue.
Pradeep Sangwan, the founder of the ILC, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “We are delighted to unite some of the most renowned cricketing figures from around the world. We are ready to host these legendary players and offer fans an exceptional cricketing experience.”
Shikhar Dhawan, who recently participated in the jersey unveiling ceremony alongside former cricketers Parvinder Awana and Praveen Kumar, shared his enthusiasm for the league. The Intercontinental Legends Championship not only rekindles the passion of these icons but also offers fans a unique mix of nostalgia and entertainment.
