Significant Drug and Drone Seizures by BSF

In a notable achievement, the Border Security Force (BSF) has successfully intercepted a drone and a packet of heroin during two distinct operations near the Amritsar border.

Recovery of a Damaged Drone

On Thursday evening, BSF personnel conducted a search operation that led to the discovery of a damaged DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone in a farming area close to Rattankhurd village. Additionally, this morning, acting on specific intelligence, the BSF troops recovered a packet of suspected heroin weighing 531 grams from a nearby agricultural field adjacent to Balve Dariya village in Amritsar.

The narcotics were found wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, with an iron ring attached to the packet.

Seizure of Narcotics and Drone

The BSF highlighted that the alertness and prompt actions of its troops were crucial in seizing the narcotics packet and the rogue drone, which were reportedly launched by smugglers from Pakistan.

Previously, on June 1, the BSF, in collaboration with Punjab Police, executed a series of coordinated raids across the Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts. During these operations, security forces recovered four DJI Mavic 3 Classic drones (two of which were damaged) and two heroin packets totaling 1.017 kg, as reported by the BSF on social media.

These recoveries took place in Ratankhurd and Dhanoe Khurd villages in Amritsar, as well as Khemkaran and Dal villages in Tarn Taran, based on intelligence and local information.
