Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan: Start by placing a heavy-bottomed frying pan on the stove. Set the heat to low. Add ghee to the pan and let it melt completely.

  2. Add Milk Powder: Once the ghee has melted, add the milk powder to the pan. Cook it over low heat, stirring continuously for 12 to 16 minutes. Keep an eye on it to ensure it does not burn at the bottom. Stir regularly until the mixture starts turning a light golden color.

  3. Incorporate Milk and Spices: When the mixture has turned slightly brown, add a little more ghee. Stir in the cardamom powder, followed by the milk. Mix thoroughly. If the mixture appears too dry, add one or two tablespoons of additional milk. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes over low heat.

  4. Add Sugar: Add the powdered sugar to the mixture and stir well. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

  5. Shape the Pedas: Once the mixture has cooled enough to handle, transfer it to a flat plate or bowl. Let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Take a large spoonful of the mixture and shape it into small, round balls using your palms. Press slightly in the center to form a peda shape.

  6. Garnish: For a decorative touch, roll the pedas in powdered sugar. Garnish each peda with pistachio powder and rose petals.
