A Memorable Encounter in Chennai

Director AR Murugadoss recently recounted a touching memory of his first encounter with Salman Khan in Chennai, showcasing his admiration for the superstar. Known for his work on films like Ghajini and Holiday, Murugadoss is set to collaborate with Khan for the upcoming movie Sikandar, which is scheduled for release on March 30.

During the trailer launch event, Murugadoss shared a nostalgic story from his early career as an Assistant Director. He recalled, 'Back then, I was eager to observe a film shoot, so I approached Prasad Studios in Chennai. The security guard allowed me entry under two conditions: I had to stay in a corner and refrain from speaking to anyone. He granted me just 20 minutes to watch.'

He went on to describe how a chance encounter with Salman Khan turned him into a fan, ultimately leading to their collaboration. 'As I entered, I was unaware of the shoot's details. Sridevi was present, and I was taken aback. Suddenly, I spotted a hero's back; he was combing his hair. It was none other than Salman sir. I promised myself that I would direct him one day, and now, after all these years, I have fulfilled that dream.'

At the same event, Salman Khan reflected on his experience working with Murugadoss, noting how the director consistently challenged him, particularly during action scenes, to achieve his best performance.
