KIA's Latest Launches

KIA has recently made headlines with the introduction of the all-new KIA Carens Clavis. In addition to this launch, the brand is gearing up for the debut of the refreshed KIA Seltos. The vehicle has been spotted undergoing tests in India, following earlier trials in international markets, as reported by a leading automotive publication. Although heavily camouflaged, the new Seltos reveals updated headlights and modifications to its front design, which will help it stand out in the competitive market.

Exterior Design Features

The new Seltos showcases design elements reminiscent of the EV9 and the Syros, maintaining a strong SUV presence. Notably, the vehicle appears to have a slightly extended footprint. Key updates include a concave grille positioned between the headlights, while the horizontal slats in the front bumper are new, differing from previous models. The rear design will also feature fresh elements, including a continuous bar light, consistent with KIA's design philosophy.

Interior and Powertrain Details

The interior of the Seltos is expected to undergo a redesign, incorporating styling cues from higher-end KIA models. In terms of performance, the facelifted Seltos will likely retain the existing engine options, including a 115Hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 160Hp 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and a 116Hp 1.5-liter diesel engine. Additionally, KIA may introduce a new hybrid powertrain, potentially electrifying the 1.5-liter NA petrol engine, which could also power the upcoming three-row SUV. The Seltos will compete with rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Tata Curvv.
