Alarming Incident in Tamil Nadu
A man, recently released from prison, has been accused of raping an 80-year-old woman in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. The incident occurred just two days after his release.

Reports indicate that the suspect was allegedly under the influence of alcohol during the attack. A senior police official confirmed that a case has been filed and an investigation is underway, with substantial evidence collected against the accused. In a separate case, a 20-year-old college student was gang-raped by a group of men at Gopalpur beach in Odisha's Ganjam district. The attackers had restrained her male companion, according to police reports.

The incident unfolded when the college student and her male friend were at the beach on Monday evening. Around 8 PM, they were overpowered by ten local youths. While three of the attackers assaulted the woman, the others kept watch over her friend. The police launched an investigation after the victims reported the crime later that night.
