Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Rishabh Pant, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has been penalized following his team's slow over-rate during their recent Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, as per an IPL media advisory.


This incident marked the third violation of the season regarding minimum over-rate rules, resulting in a fine of ₹30 lakh for Pant. Additionally, each member of the Playing XI, including the Impact Player, faced individual fines of ₹12 lakh or 50% of their match fees, whichever amount was lower.
