What Does NSA Ajit Doval Predict for India's Future by 2047?

A Vision for India's Future
Chennai: On Friday, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval highlighted India's growing economic and military influence globally, sharing his vision for significant achievements by 2047, the centenary of India's independence.
Doval expressed optimism about the country's potential for exponential growth, predicting that the GDP could increase eightfold by 2047.
Speaking at the 62nd convocation of IIT-Madras, he reflected on India's transformation from a challenging past to a promising future, attributing this progress to the contributions of various national figures. He encouraged students to become proactive leaders.
The NSA emphasized the necessity of embracing advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and compared India's rapid development of 5G technology to China's lengthy process.
"While China invested $300 billion over 12 years to develop 5G, we achieved an indigenous alternative in just two and a half years," he noted.
Echoing the sentiments of attendees, Doval stated that the ambitious goals for the future are attainable but require collective effort from all citizens.
He supported a professor's assertion that India's GDP could potentially reach $32 trillion by 2047, translating to a rise in per capita income from $2,500 to $22,000.
"This growth would result in a skilled workforce of approximately 1.1 billion, fostering a robust middle class and enhancing the nation's demographic and spiritual strengths," he added.
In contrast, he pointed out that China's workforce is expected to shrink significantly, potentially dropping to 23% of its current size.
Doval urged students to prepare as 'leaders of tomorrow' to tackle the multifaceted challenges ahead, emphasizing their role as the 'X factor' in this transformation.
He also highlighted the importance of technological advancements, which will require careful management to ensure national security.
Regarding 'Operation Sindoor', Doval praised its precision, noting that the operation was completed in just 23 minutes, and criticized foreign media for their irresponsible reporting on the incident.
