Prime Minister's Upcoming Rally in Bihar


Patna, May 30: On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a large public gathering in Bikramganj, located in the Rohtas district, where he will unveil a series of infrastructure initiatives aimed at enhancing Bihar's development.


Prior to his arrival, Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan are anticipated to reach the rally site.


During the event, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for various infrastructure and welfare projects valued at around Rs 48,500 crore.


These initiatives are projected to significantly propel the state's advancement in sectors such as transportation, energy, railways, and overall connectivity.


The rally venue, which spans 444 acres in Bikramganj, has been meticulously prepared for the event. A grand stage and a large canopy have been erected to accommodate the expected crowd.


Floral decorations have been specially arranged, with garlands and flowers sourced from Kolkata and Patna.


Local artisans dedicated their Thursday to completing the intricate floral displays.


In light of the Prime Minister's security, rigorous measures have been implemented. A total of 250 checkpoints have been established around the venue.


More than 5,000 personnel, including police officers, magistrates, and security staff, have been deployed for the event.


This security detail includes 10 Superintendents of Police (SPs), 50 Deputy SPs, and over 1,000 inspectors and sub-inspectors. Additionally, temporary police stations, 10 fire engines, and several ambulances are stationed at the site.


The District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police are personally overseeing the security arrangements.


Besides the developmental announcements, this event is also viewed as vital for reinforcing the BJP's organizational framework in the state ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.


The atmosphere in Bikramganj is filled with excitement, as thousands of supporters are expected to gather.


PM Modi's address and the anticipated announcements have garnered significant attention, with many considering this visit a pivotal moment for Bihar's infrastructure and economic growth.


Among the major projects he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for are the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi four-lane road, the four-lane elevated corridor in Gopalganj, the automatic block signalling system from Sasaram to Anugrah Narayan Road, and the third railway line between Sonnagar and Muhammadganj.


Other projects include the third railway line between Kajart Nawadih and Sonnagar, three 800 MW power units in phase two of the Navinagar thermal plant, the construction of a Ganga bridge between Buxar and Bharauli on NH-92, the extension of NH-119D from Ramnagar to Kachchi Dargah, a railway platform with five terminals at Harding Park in Patna, the Patna-Ara-Sasaram four-lane road on NH-119A, and the six-lane highway connecting Varanasi, Ranchi, and Kolkata on NH-319B.
