Bollywood's Paparazzi Culture Under Fire

The presence of paparazzi in Bollywood has surged in recent years, leading to growing concerns among celebrities about their privacy. Kajol recently voiced her concerns during an interview, specifically condemning the act of capturing images at funerals.

In her conversation, Kajol expressed, "I feel quite uneasy around the paparazzi. There are certain situations where their presence is simply inappropriate. It's particularly unsettling when they chase you at a funeral or during a memorial service, asking for photographs while you're grieving someone’s loss."

She continued, "It's quite odd and disrespectful. You can't even enjoy a meal without them trailing you for miles. For instance, they followed me from Juhu to Bandra, and even halfway to town, just to see where I was headed and which building I entered."

Kajol further remarked that if she were an ordinary citizen, she would have reported such behavior to the authorities. She stated, "If I were just a regular person, would you act this way? I would have taken you to the police and said, ‘This person on the scooter is following me.’"

On the professional front, Kajol is set to appear in the upcoming film 'Maa', where she will portray a strong character. The movie features Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, and Kherin Sharma in significant roles. Directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Ajay Devgn along with Jyoti Subbarayan and Kumar Mangat Pathak, 'Maa' is scheduled for theatrical release on June 27, 2025.
