Rohit Sharma Stand Inauguration at Wankhede Stadium Rescheduled to May 16

New Date for Inauguration of Rohit Sharma Stand
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced a change in the inauguration date for the Rohit Sharma Stand at Wankhede Stadium, now set for Friday, May 16, at 4:00 PM IST, instead of the previously scheduled date of May 13.
This adjustment was made in light of escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan border. To prioritize safety, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to suspend the league for a week. With a ceasefire now established, normalcy is returning, and the IPL is expected to resume on May 17 with a match between RCB and KKR. During its 86th Annual General Meeting on April 15, the MCA resolved to honor Rohit Sharma by naming one of the stands at Wankhede Stadium after him.
