Ceremony Highlights

 On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presided over a grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The ritual commenced at 11 AM and lasted approximately 45 to 50 minutes, featuring traditional Vedic chants and ceremonies. This event marked the final day of a three-day Pran Pratishtha celebration that began on June 3.


Celebrating his 53rd birthday, Yogi Adityanath performed the Aarti of Ram Lalla on the temple's ground floor. After conducting prayers in the sanctum sanctorum, he proceeded to the first floor of the temple to initiate the Pran Pratishtha rituals for the Ram Darbar.


Significance of Ganga Dussehra

Chief Minister's Participation in Worship


Yogi Adityanath actively participated in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony for the deities at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. On the occasion of Ganga Dussehra, he took part in the worship of Lord Ram and eight other deities during the Pran Pratishtha event held on the temple's first floor.


Ganga Dussehra: A Special Day


According to Hindu scriptures, Ganga Dussehra commemorates the day when the sacred river Ganga descended to Earth from Lord Shiva's locks, inspired by King Bhagirath's penance. This day is considered highly auspicious. Anil Mishra, a trustee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, mentioned that the Pran Pratishtha ceremony took place between 11:25 AM and 11:40 AM. In addition to the main Ram Darbar, eight other temples within the Ram Temple complex were also consecrated.


Ceremony Details

Trustee Anil Mishra stated that the ceremony was conducted with all religious rituals and Vedic mantras. Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on social media. In his message, he expressed his privilege to witness the Pran Pratishtha of sacred deities in the newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, describing it as a new expression of 'One India, Great India.' He concluded with a chant of 'Jai Siya Ram.'


The first Pran Pratishtha ceremony for the idol of Ram Lalla in the newly built temple complex was held on January 22, 2024, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
