Chennai: Renowned production company Sithara Entertainment revealed on Wednesday that the talented Kannada filmmaker and actor Rishab Shetty, celebrated for his pan-Indian hit Kantara, will star in their forthcoming Telugu project, directed by Ashwin Gangaraju.
This film, currently referred to as Sithara Entertainment's Production Number 36, is being produced in collaboration with Fortune Four Cinemas.

The announcement from Sithara Entertainment arrives just a day prior to the premiere of their highly anticipated action film Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda.
The promotional poster for the new film suggests it will be a period piece rich in action, featuring the tagline "The land burned a rebel rose." The imagery of a cannon surrounded by bayonets targeting an opposing army hints at a historical narrative, possibly set in 18th-century Bengal.
For Rishab Shetty, this project marks his debut in the Telugu film industry. He recently completed filming for Kantara: Chapter 1, a prequel to the blockbuster Kantara.
Director's Background
Just ten days ago, Hombale Films, the studio behind Kantara: Chapter 1, announced the film's completion and shared a glimpse video. They expressed excitement about the film's cultural roots and the dedication of the team involved, eagerly anticipating its release on October 2nd.
Director Ashwin Gangaraju is recognized for his work on the Telugu film Aakashavaani, which starred Samuthirakani, Vinay Varma, and Teja Kakumanu. Originally intended for a theatrical release, the film was ultimately launched on OTT due to the pandemic.
