Preparations Underway for PM Modi's Visit


In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bhubaneswar on June 20, extensive preparations are being made. Two significant meetings took place on Tuesday to ensure everything is in order for the event.


Security personnel convened at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to discuss safety measures, while Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja assessed the readiness at the Lok Seva Bhawan, the state secretariat.


Ministers Suresh Pujari and Bibhuti B Jena conducted an inspection of Janata Maidan, the location where Modi is expected to address the public.


Pujari expressed confidence in the arrangements, stating, "We are ready to welcome the Prime Minister. In addition to a roadshow and participating in a Triranga Yatra, he will inaugurate projects valued at ₹17,000 crore for Odisha."


Preparations are in place to accommodate over 100,000 attendees at the event.


Cultural performances are scheduled along the route from the airport to Janata Maidan, adding to the festive atmosphere.


According to the agenda discussed in the meeting led by the chief secretary, the Prime Minister will depart from Kushinagar Airport in Uttar Pradesh at 2:05 PM on June 20 and is expected to arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport by 3:40 PM.


Following his arrival, he will participate in a roadshow, reaching the venue by 4:15 PM, and will return to the airport at 5:50 PM.


During the major public gathering at Janata Maidan, PM Modi will unveil Odisha's 'Vision Document' and launch various development and welfare initiatives, as confirmed by an official.


Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena informed the press that security arrangements for the Prime Minister's visit were discussed in a meeting attended by the Special Protection Group (SPG).
