Netanyahu's Alarming Claims on Iran's Threats

Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made shocking allegations, claiming that Iran has plotted to assassinate former US President Donald Trump due to his staunch opposition to Iran's nuclear ambitions.

In an interview with Fox News Sunday, Netanyahu labeled Trump as Tehran's 'number one enemy' and accused the Iranian regime of actively seeking to eliminate him.

"They want to kill him. He’s enemy number one," Netanyahu asserted.

He praised Trump for his decisive leadership, stating that unlike others, he did not engage in weak negotiations that would allow Iran to enrich uranium, which could lead to nuclear weapons, while also providing them with substantial financial resources.

Netanyahu commended Trump’s actions regarding Iran, including the withdrawal from the Iran nuclear agreement and the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.

"He dismantled this fraudulent agreement and eliminated Qasem Soleimani. He has made it abundantly clear that Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons, which includes not enriching uranium," Netanyahu remarked.

He also disclosed that he himself has been a target of Iranian aggression, recounting an incident where a missile was fired into his home.

Netanyahu characterized himself as Trump’s 'junior partner' in the mission to thwart Iran's nuclear ambitions.

He warned of an 'imminent threat' from Iran, calling for urgent military action. "We are facing a dual existential threat," he stated.

"Firstly, Iran is rapidly advancing towards weaponizing enriched uranium to create atomic bombs with the explicit goal of annihilating us. Secondly, they are accelerating their ballistic missile development to produce 3,600 missiles annually... Within three years, they could have 10,000 missiles, each weighing a ton, striking our cities at Mach 6. No nation can endure that, especially not one the size of Israel, so we must act," he emphasized.

Netanyahu reiterated that Israel's military operations are not only for its own defense but also for global security. He claimed that diplomatic efforts with Iran have failed, leaving Israel with no alternatives.

In response, Iran launched a significant missile attack on Israeli cities, although many of the missiles were intercepted before causing damage.

Netanyahu stated that the recent Israeli military actions, part of 'Operation Rising Lion,' have considerably hindered Iran's nuclear advancements.

"We have significantly delayed the Iranian nuclear program," he asserted. "Negotiations with a regime that sponsors terrorism are clearly futile."

He affirmed Israel's readiness to take further measures to neutralize the threats from Iran's nuclear and missile programs, describing Operation Rising Lion as 'one of the greatest military operations in history.'

In a message to the Iranian populace, Netanyahu expressed compassion for those suffering under the current regime.

"You have been oppressed for 50 years by the same Islamic regime that has consistently threatened to obliterate the State of Israel," he stated, justifying Israel's military actions.
