Digvijaya Singh's Visit to the World Skill Centre
Bhubaneswar: During his recent tour of Odisha, Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh made a stop at the World Skill Centre (WSC) on Thursday.
He commended the advanced facilities and the Odisha government's commitment to enhancing skill-based education aimed at empowering the youth.
Singh explored various training areas within the WSC, including specialized labs for Vertical Transportation, Mechatronics, Advanced Welding, and Mechanical & Electrical Services.
Additionally, he visited the Learning Resource Centre and engaged with students participating in industry-oriented training programs. Singh expressed his admiration for the Centre's achievements, stating, “WSC exemplifies the future of vocational training in India.
While numerous states have established skill centres, achieving a 99 percent placement rate across six successful batches is truly impressive.
The Centre not only equips youth with skills but also enhances the capabilities of trainers, thereby setting new benchmarks for quality.” He emphasized the significance of WSC in cultivating a workforce that is ready for the job market and aligned with the changing demands of various industries.
